Many families have asked about opportunities to spend time at camp to get away from it all, have a change of scenery, and have some fun! Camp Olympia’s new Family Getaways are just that! You and your family have the opportunity to rent a private, air-conditioned cabin at Camp Olympia for a customized vacation! Escape into nature for relaxation or pack in loads of camp activities. Your family sets the pace! From wakeboarding to archery, horseback riding to pool time, there’s so much for everyone in the family to enjoy while staying socially distanced from others.
Your family getaway is private and completely personalized. Your family will have your own cabin and bathroom during your stay, and activities will be scheduled in a way to stay separate from others on the facility. Let our staff work with you to choose the cabin that is the best fit for your family as well as develop an activity schedule based on many of camp’s most popular activities. You select your favorite activities ahead of time, and we’ll have those activities scheduled, staffed and ready just for your family to enjoy together.
Nick Deckert leads our Retreats team and is ready to plan the perfect getaway for your family. Complete the Getaway Availability Information form to let us know about your plans. We will check availability and respond quickly. Please feel free to email Nick or call us at 936-594-2541 with any questions.
Families can choose a cabin from one of the types of cabins below. Rates are per night for a 4-person family. Each additional guest adds $50/night. Meals and all “no cost” activities are included with the cabin stay. All cabins are setup with twin bunk-beds. Linens are not included, but are available upon request.
Check-in begins at 3pm prior to your first night’s stay. Check-out is at noon on the day of your departure. Applicable taxes apply. All cabin reservations must be made a minimum of 72 hours prior to your check-in day.
Yaupon Cabins ($200/night) – These cabins are grouped in clusters of four, if you choose to bring extended family with you. Bathrooms are detached from the cabins, just a few yards outside of each cabin. These cabins have wonderful views of the lake.
Sweetgum Cabins ($225/night) – These cabins are groups in clusters of two, with a bathroom in the middle connecting the two cabins. This gives your family a chance to spread out if desired.
Oak Cabins ($250/night) – These cabins are our most spacious cabins and have private bathrooms attached. Each has a unique view of the forest or lake.
Pine Suites ($300/night) – These cabins are our most private, as they are not in the heart of camp. The interior of these more closely resemble a hotel suite than a cabin, including an economy kitchen, small living area and private bathroom.
